Management Experience

** Owned and operated service business with staff of 8
- Converted the business from an NCR system to an IBM System/34.
The business provided processing services -- General Ledger,
Payroll, and Job Costing -- to local clients and also developed
software for clients who had their own in-house systems.

** Indirect responsibility for clients' staff at multiple businesses
- As part of the service I provide to clients using my software,
I often directed the activities of Systems personnel. This was typically in the form
of on-site training and conversions.

** Managed Financial Systems in multiple AS/400 environment
- On two separate occasions (Mark IV Industries &
Beckley-Cardy Group), I managed the programming staffs responsible for supporting
financial systems -- General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,
Payroll, and Fixed Assets.

** Computer Conversions -- IBM System/34 to IBM System/36
- Long-term relationships with several clients resulted in the
opportunity to assist them in their migration from the System/34 to the System/36.
These conversions were usually focused on re-configuring workstations and other
connectivity issues.
